Leathermouth lives!

Hola amigos,

Un nuevo día ha llegado, espero que estén todos bien. Estoy escribiendo para avisarles que he estado ocupado…y el tiempo vuela cuando se está ocupado, supongo. Es mitad de enero ya, y en la parte norte de Jersey está todo congelado y muerto. Así que iré al directo al punto…algunos de ustedes habrán escuchado que hace un tiempo atrás comencé a trabajar en una banda llamada Leathermouth con algunos amigos de mi hogar en Jersey.

Tocamos algunos shows, escribimos algunas canciones y todo eso terminó en una grabación de diez canciones hechas en nuestros sótanos. Ahora, luego de lo que se siente una eternidad, el 27 de Enero del 2009 esas diez canciones serán finalmente lanzadas como un CD titulado “XO”, por Epitaph Records…y estoy bastante entusiasmado por esto. Desde que era pequeño iba a los shows y siempre quise estar en una banda en que yo creyera y lanzar un disco en el que estuviera mi corazón, he sido afortunado lo suficiente en mi vida para experimentar eso un par de veces…y eso nunca envejece. Ahora debo decir que este proyecto no es para todos ustedes, les aconsejo que descubran por su cuenta lo que es Leathermouth antes de formarse una opinión o gastar el dinero que han ganado.

Creo que muchos de ustedes terminarán odiandolo y espero que ese mal gusto lo vean encajar, mi única esperanza es que no esten indiferentes a esto.

Con eso ya dicho, si terminas disfrutando a LM, bueno, que Dios tenga misericordia por su eterna alma, y si quieren pre-ordenar el disco pueden hacerlo ahora por Smartpunk o Interpunk.

También, para los que viven en la fabulosa area de New Jersey, estaremos tocando un show de lanzamiento de ultimo minuto en Vintage Vinyl, Lafayette 51 Rd, en Foros, New Jersey el martes 27 de Enero a las 7 pm. Si pre ordenas el disco ahí o lo compras en la calle ese mismo dia, ellos te darán una pulsera para el show. Puedes ir a su website para todos los detalles.

Hey everybody, its me (Ray) and Gerard! We’re currently sacking out at a swank Internet Cafe in Toronto called “Internet Cafe.” How original. Its snowing like mad here, and its really cold too. We’re three days into the tour and got like another two months to go, and already we’re having a blast. Montreal was really cool, but really French too. Instead of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) they have PFK, Poulet Frit Kentucky. Oh how we laughed…and then rocked the fuck out!

Hey everybody! Gerard really needs a copy of “Lose Yourself” by Eminem. He wants it to be his “tour jam.” He would be really, really grateful for anyone who could burn this for him and bring it to a show.

We’ve met some really amazing people at the two shows we’ve done so far, and are looking forward to meeting many, many more. So please come up to us after we’re done playing to say hi and chat with us for a bit. It really makes our day when we meet great kids, and that’s really what this is all about. Our time is running low, so we have to get our snow boots on and head off to the next show! Come rock the fuck out with us and unleash les Chauves-souris!!!

Está nevando como loco aquí, y tambien hace bastante frio. Estamos tres días en la gira y tiene como para dos meses más, ya estamos teniendo mucha presión. Hola a todos! Gerard realmente necesita una copia de "Lose Yourself" de Eminem. El quiere que sea su "mermelada de gira" (?). Él podría realmente, realmente agradecido por cualquier persona que podría grabarselo para él y llevarlo a un show.

Hemos conocido a gente realmente increíble en los dos shows que hemos hecho hasta ahora, y tenemos muchas ganas de conocer a muchos más. Asi que porfavor vengan cuando dejemos de tocar para saludar y hablar con nosotros un rato. Lo que realmete hace nuestro día es que nos encontramos con chicos agradables, y eso es de lo que se trata todo esto. Nuestro tiempo se está agotando, asi que tenemos que poner las botas de nieve y nuestras cabezas para el siguiente show. Ven a rockear a la mierda con nosotros y da rienda suelta a les Chauves-souris!

Rexplex show on August 3rd! This is gonna be a fun time, so if you can come out, we'd appreciate you being there! There will be lots of other cool things to do besides listening to great tunes, so please make it out if you can! Also, we have a show on the 4th in Farmingdale, NY. This is gonna be another good one, so check out the Shows page for more info on these and other upcoming shows.

Cds should be popping up in stores this week. There was a slight delay caused by our manufacturer getting product to our distributor late, but everything is going smoothly now. You can also buy them from the Eyeball Records online shop. Apologies to those who have been waiting for the cd. We thank you for your patience.

New Photos have been put up, and a new song has been added to our mp3.com page. It takes a few days for the approval process, so it should be up shortly.

Lastly, buy the new Masters of the Universe figures. MCR fully endorses these products,although we don't get any free toys for doing so Check out all the He-Man news here!

Cd comes out in two weeks!!! To celebrate, we're having a record release party at the Loop Lounge on July 19th. We'll be playing with Sleep Station and Canadian rockers The Sainte Catherines. The show is 21 and over. For those who can't make it to this show, we'll also be playing a show at Rexplex on August 3rd. This show is all ages. Check the shows page for more info.

Along with T-shirts, you can now pre-order our CD at the Eyeball Records website.

Apologies to Joshua Atkins and those who were looking forward to seeing us in Red Lion, PA. We had to cancel the July 2nd show because we had van troubles. The van is back in somewhat running, so hopefully soon we can rebook a show.

Thanks to all those who came out to the shows this past weekend. Once again we met some great people and had a blast playing. Its good to see a lot of people who saw us join the message board. This gives us a chance to communicate with all of you, so if you haven't already, join up!

Hello all! Just some quick things. Updated show listings have been added. This week, we're playing 6.28.02 at the Middletown Knights of Columbus, and 6.29.02 at the Limestone Grange Hall in Wilmington, Delaware with Element 101, A Trunk Full Of Dead Bodies, and other great bands. We're also planning a CD Release party at the Loop Lounge on 7.19! We'll be playing with Sleep Station and The Sainte Catherines, two awesome Eyeball bands. It should be awesome! Check the Shows page for updated info on that and other shows.
